We’re people who know what it’s like to worry about heart attacks, strokes, a-fib, and the endless stream of medications, doctor visits, and tests. Aging gracefully isn’t always easy, and sometimes it feels like no one understands the anxiety that comes with caring for your heart.

This site is for sharing stories—real moments of fear, hope, and resilience. You can open up about your struggles, swap advice on how to cope, or just listen to others who are walking the same path. Because when it comes to heart health, none of us have all the answers. But together, we’re stronger.

WHAT IS YOGA FOR THE HEART ALL ABOUT?

Yoga for the Heart is a practical program designed for anyone looking to improve their health, manage stress, and reclaim a sense of well-being—regardless of background or belief. Born from my own experience living with cardiac issues since 1995, and decades of teaching, this approach combines gentle movement, mindful breathing, healthy nutrition, and positive thinking to support your body and mind.

Yoga isn’t a religion; it’s a set of tools anyone can use. In my journey, these tools helped me not just survive but truly enjoy life again. Over 25 years of teaching, I’ve watched countless people find more peace, energy, and control over their health through these simple practices.

Yoga for the Heart is about being present, caring for yourself, and meeting life’s challenges with courage and wisdom. You don’t need to be flexible, spiritual, or have any prior experience. All you need is a willingness to try.

HOW YOGA HELPS

Yoga isn’t just about twisting your body into impressive shapes. At its core, it’s a toolkit for living well—no matter what your health looks like. The physical side of yoga, with its stretches and gentle strength work, keeps the body supple and strong. For people dealing with injury or chronic illness, yoga can be adapted—sometimes it’s just mindful breathing, or moving a single joint at a time. This gentle approach helps the body heal, improves circulation, and can even reduce pain.

But the real magic of yoga is what it does for the mind and emotions. Regular practice settles the nervous system, easing anxiety and stress.
